Support Required for our CISRS Layher Advanced Course
10th August 2022
Bookings are now being taken for our second Layher CISRS Advanced Scaffolding course, to be held on 12 September, in Anglesey.
In March of this year, SIMIAN, Layher UK, CISRS and CIST (Coleg Menai’s Centre for Infrastructure, Skills and Training) collaborated to run the latest in what is a very short line of system scaffolding advanced courses, and the sold-out training event was a huge success.
Speaking of the course, Dave Randles, SIMIAN’s Operations Director, said:
“Up to this point, bookings have been relatively slow, so there is still some availability. We are urging all Layher users to support the course, as there is no guarantee that any future system Advanced courses will take place.
Running the Layher Advanced course carries operational difficulties that we don’t encounter with other CISRS courses, and they are primarily related to the space required to build the training structures and the material intensive nature of the course. That is to say, there is lots of gear spread over an area that could usually accommodate two CISRS training cohorts, and, as with all businesses, we must ensure that what we do is commercially viable.
It is no exaggeration to say that this is a case of use it or lose it, and if we can’t get the support from industry for this course, we will concentrate on meeting the demand for other training.”
The course is open to Layher Part Two cardholders and Part Two or Advanced tube and fitting qualified Scaffolders who hold a Layher SSPTS endorsement, and who have done so for a minimum period of 12 months.
Bookings can be made via our new booking system, or by calling Adam Sherlock on 0345 6022418.
