Case Study

For many years SIMIAN has been actively encouraging and supporting women in the construction industry.

For the SIMIAN team, a diverse workforce is a key component to the business; therefore, encouraging women to enter the construction industry, and then supporting them through those crucial first stages of their career and throughout the duration of their working life will hugely benefit the industry as a whole.

Despite the fact that women currently only make up 13% of all construction roles, this number is rising year on year, making this one of the most exciting times in the history of construction, and SIMIAN is doing its part. So, what exactly are the SIMIAN team doing to support more women in construction?

SIMIAN team members

Our workforce is diverse, and female members of our team are integral to the overall operations of the SIMIAN business. Learn more about the female members of the SIMIAN team and their roles here.

Sponsored training

SIMIAN has also endeavoured to support women turning to the construction and scaffolding professions, in order to get them off to the best possible start. As a result, we regularly sponsor female construction workers looking to further their knowledge, all of whom are breaking down the notion of construction as a ‘male’ career and highlighting that it can be a fantastic choice for women also.
