Micky Mundy, a seasoned scaffolder with his employer Construction Site Scaffolding, has dedicated 7 to 8 years to the industry. His journey into scaffolding began through family influence; his cousin’s involvement in the field made it a logical and appealing choice. Micky found joy and satisfaction in the job, appreciating its well-paying nature and the absence of the dreaded Sunday evening work blues.

Now onto his Part Two Scaffolding Course at Weston College, Micky has attended the centre before to do his COTS and Part One Tube and Fitting Course too, so is becoming a bit of a regular!

His employer originally chose Weston College for its prime location, which Micky finds ideal due to its accessibility but has continued to use the centre for his professional development due to the quality of the training provided.

During his Part Two training, Micky identified significant learning milestones, such as mastering chimney stack scaffolding techniques, working effectively in a team and collaborating in group projects. These skills will be crucial in advancing his professional capabilities and confidence on the job.

When asked about his time at SIMIAN, Micky says:

I would highly recommend Scaffolding training at Weston College through SIMIAN as the tutors are brilliant. They are knowledgeable, provide detailed explanations of best practices and are hands-on throughout all the courses.

Scaffolding is an excellent career path! The choice of apprenticeships or commercial training makes it a versatile and practical choice for many.
