Case Study

Ricky finds a new stage in his work life with Scaffolder training at SIMIAN.

Ricky found himself considering new work opportunities and decided to pursue a new career in scaffolding where he could earn whilst he trained and build his skills over time.

After being made redundant at the age of 37, Ricky found himself considering new work opportunities and decided to pursue a new career in scaffolding where he could earn whilst he trained and build his skills over time.

Ricky started with a one-day COTS course at our SIMAIN SOMAX Training Centre in Weston-super-Mare before progressing to his CISRS Part 1 Trainee Scaffolder qualification. He has now returned to SOMAX to undertake his Trainee Scaffolder Part 2 and is enjoying this next stage in his training.

Speaking of his time with the SIMIAN team, Ricky has said:

“I’ve enjoyed the training provided by SIMIAN and find it interesting to gain knowledge on different aspects of the job.

I have always found the SIMIAN instructors to be helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to give advice. Nothing is too much trouble. And the facilities, premises and kit are always clean and the work area great too.”

On behalf of the entire SIMIAN team, we wish Ricky all the best as he progresses his scaffolding career, and we look forward to seeing his back with us for the next stage of his professional training.
