Lee Hamilton's 11-Year Journey in Scaffolding with Crossway Scaffolding Group

Lee Hamilton, a dedicated individual has spent 11 years honing his skills as a scaffolder with Crossway Scaffolding Group, and has now come to our Warrington Centre to undertake his Advanced Course.

We ask him how he has found training with us…

What’s been the best part of your training at SIMIAN?

“The temporary roof has been the best part so far. I really enjoyed getting stuck in with the lads and learning this skill on the advanced course using the different systems has been great to learn.

Would you recommend SIMIAN training?

“The temporary roof has been the best part so far. I really enjoyed getting stuck in with the lads and learning this skill on the advanced course using the different systems has been great to learn.

How have you found training at SIMIAN?

“Its been really good, my instructor Gary has gone through everything in detail which makes it so much easier to understand and easier on the training floor. In a morning when we come in we review the drawings and check the risk assessments for the job, ensure everything is all safe on the floor, then when we go out there we start turning the spanner and everything goes in nice and easily because we’ve gone everything in detail in the classroom.”

Words of wisdom for anyone wanting to become a Scaffolder?

“I would recommend scaffolding for anyone wanting to come into it, preferable the young lads as it is a massive strain on the body, and a challenging career path to follow. You start by labouring first to learn the components, then onto an apprenticeship and can progress to do advanced like me, I would highly recommend it.”
