Talk me through a typical day in the office/work for you?
Out of bed at 5:30am. Check my schedule and then it’s off to work. At the moment work can mean anything from site inspections to carrying out initial audits for retained clients. Sometimes I visit existing clients for whom we act as Health and Safety advisors for and help them with training and advice. No two days are ever the same and you never know what the next five minutes can bring. Work usually ends about 4:30 – 5:30 when I head home to the green hills of North Wales.

What is your favourite part of the job?
The impartiality. I’m there to give a straight and truthful assessment. That feels very liberating somehow.

If you didn’t work at Simian what would be your dream job?
Errm….I think it depends on what film I saw last weekend. For instance last week I watched Jurassic Park so this week I want to be a Palaeontologist. It looked quite easy.

When you aren’t in work where are most likely to be found?
Driving home from work, in bed or driving back to work (I’m joking Dave please don’t fire me!) I have a couple of hobbies but nothing serious. I just do what I feel like which usually involves a walk and a couple of pints.

Where would your ideal holiday be and why?
That’s a toughie! Possibly to the Parks in Orlando. I’ve never been.

Tea or coffee?
Either, white with two. And no trendy “fruity tea” like Dave R and Dave B seem to like.

Crisps or chocolate?
Chocolate followed by Ready Salted Crisps. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.
