Talk me through a typical day in the office/work for you?
Alarm rings around 5.30am. Nice hot coffee and a bowl of cereal. Into the van, talksport on the radio and make my way to the scheduled sites, another brew on-site (if offered!), carry out inspections have a chat with the site agents about improvements needed or not needed and type out the scaffold reports, back in the van talksport on and drive home.

What is your favourite part of the job?
Getting out and about, meeting different people and hopefully helping improve scaffolding standards and safety.

If you didn’t work at Simian what would be your dream job?
Fighter jet pilot!

When you aren’t in work where are most likely to be found?
Spending time with the family, keeping fit and trying to play football (still).

Where would your ideal holiday be and why?
Back to Australia but this time with the family.

Definitely not wine, its gets me in trouble.

Celebrity look-alike?
Haha my mates had a stag doo t-shirt made for me with Tyrone (corrie) printed on it! I wasn’t happy and it stuck for years, don’t see the resemblance myself.

A weekend in the country or a city break?
Country. Nice log cabin somewhere quiet

Rugby or football?
Real mans game…. football (come back Sir Alex)

Early morning or late nights?
Both, sleeping is for wimps

Pub or wine bar?
Pub
