Simian’s fundraising in 2018

In 2017 we announced our chosen charity for the next two years, Little Hearts Matter. The charity provides support for children and their families that have been diagnosed with single ventricle heart condition.

We took part in a number of fundraising activities last year, including:

Tough Mudder

Our accounts administrator, Annaleis, took part in the Tough Mudder challenge last July, raising around £4000 for the charity. LHM is particularly close to Annaleis’ heart following her son’s diagnosis of only half a working heart. Annaleis has found the support from LHM wonderful and looks forward to continuing fundraising efforts for the charity.

Bake week

To coincide with Little Heart Matters’ Handmade Hearts campaign, the team at Simian took part in bake week, which saw a variety of baked treats sold in our Warrington headquarters in October, culminating in a chocolate cake raffle at the end of the week. This raised a total of £100 for the charity.  

Christmas activities

Christmas saw a number of team members donating to Little Heart Matters in place of sending their Christmas cards, amongst a number of other fundraising activities that took place on the lead up to the festive celebrations.

We are now in the midst of planning our fundraising calendar for 2018, ensuring that we raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity.
