Simian supports Acorn Structures for huge music event

Music lovers everywhere will be interested to hear about one of SIMIAN’s latest consultancy projects, we have been supporting our client Acorn Event Structures as it constructed a custom-built venue for the Bristol homecoming gig of the legendary trip hop band, Massive Attack.

Built for two shows on 1^st and 2^nd March, the huge steel structure played host to an astounding 15,000 music lovers at the former Filton Airfield in Bristol, and was subsequently dismantled following the group’s two show dates.

The temporary arena itself was constructed by the UK’s largest provider of scaffold-based event structures, Acorn Event Structures, who are amongst SIMIAN’s growing list of retained clients.

The sheer size of this project obviously required a great deal of safety planning and inspection, and therefore SIMIAN were on hand to provide a helping hand to Acorn with their safe systems of work and ongoing inspection. This not only ensured the safety of those working on the structure, but also to those attending the event and the band themselves.
