Meet our newest BDM, Matt Luetchford

It’s time to find out more about the newest edition to the SIMIAN team as we welcome Matt Luetchford as our latest Business Development Manager (BDM).

Could you please tell us about your past work experience?

I’ve worked in a variety of training providers and colleges over the years in Business Development roles and as an Apprenticeship NVQ Assessor

Can you describe a typical day at Simian?

My day consists of various phone calls, emails & meetings with Simians customers to provide them with information on our various training courses & apprenticeships

Is there one aspect of your work in particular that you most enjoy?

The variety of work on a day-to-day basis – one day I could be in Wales at one of our colleges and another I could be in Warrington at a local scaffolding company

What advice would you give those considering a career in the construction industry?

If you are looking at career in Scaffolding be prepared to work in the elements of the Great British weather!

In your opinion, what is the most important piece of guidance you give youngsters making their way in the industry?

Most Managing Directors were once Apprentices, keep that in mind when you begin your career

Before working at Simian, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Working at a specialist Porsche garage working on cars that could be worth more than £100k, but I got bored!

What would be your dream job?

Lamborghini Test Driver

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Greece, every island!
