Simian Coffee Morning

Unfortunately, cancer is a disease that will affect us all in one way or another, so we’re more than happy to whatever we can to help.
The coffee morning took place at Simian’s HQ in Warrington and we were thrilled to discover that Simian is home to some talented bakers! Mary Berry would have been proud of the standard of cakes on offer!
Thank you to everyone who got involved and especially those who spent time baking and organising the event. A special mention must go to two of our budding young bakers, Amber and Jake, but also to our FD, Jackie Thomason, who went to the trouble of organising the whole thing. The children of staff at Simian both made a huge effort. Amber baked a delicious classic Victoria sponge but the accolade of Simian star baker must go to Jake who made a chocolate cake with an apricot jam filling and chocolate ganache finish which he made all by himself. Congratulations to Jake on baking the best cake!
We’d also like to thank everyone who generously donated and spent time eating, drinking coffee and chatting on the day! It was great to see staff and delegates at the centre enjoying the delicious selection goodies and supporting McMillan Cancer Support.
