Did you know that our busy Warrington headquarters is also an approved CSCS Test Centre? CSCS is the UK’s most recognised construction skills certification scheme and a CSCS card is usually a prerequisite for work on constructions sites and other construction related environments.
At Simian we are able to offer the opportunity to undertake tests across a range of areas not just scaffolding related tests.
The benefits of gaining CSCS certification
Gaining the relevant CSCS card will open the door to opportunities in the construction industry. CSCS cards are required by employers and they demonstrate that the individual has the required qualifications and training for the work they carry out.
The tests are based on multiple-choice questions and can be completed at our approved touch screen centre in Warrington. They take 45 minutes to complete.
If you aren’t sure which test you need to complete for your specific industry or specialism the CSCS website offers a helpful online card finder which will help you quickly identify which test you need to pass.
We also recommend preparing thoroughly for the test as anyone needing to re-sit will have to pay the fee again.
Once you know which test you need to sit simply give us a call to book. The test costs £28.50 and is VAT exempt once you have passed the appropriate test you can apply to CSCS for your card. This can be done by telephone and fee for the test (which is inclusive of VAT) can be paid by debit or credit card.
