What is RISQS?
RISQS (the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) accreditation is a pre-requisite if you wish to sponsor staff to carry out work on the London Underground or within Network Rail’s controlled infrastructure.
Skill Scaffolding Limited, of Southampton are a long-standing retained client of Simian and we are proud to have supported them through the growth of their business and all that RISQS accreditation requires. Skill passed their latest audit with a four-star rating and are now ready for another busy year playing their part in maintaining the railway infrastructure in the south of England. Another four-star rating at their next audit will see the required frequency of audits reduced.
Alison Rogers, Director at Skill Scaffolding, said, “Simian’s assistance with the RISQS process is invaluable. Their knowledge of the RISQS system is excellent and as a busy team, their straightforward approach assists us greatly in terms of incorporating the requirements of the RISQS scheme into our day-to-day activities. We receive regular rail industry updates as part of our retained service agreement and with Simian’s support, we are looking forward to another busy year on the railways.”
RISQS accreditation lets buyers know that an organisation meets industry standards and opens the door to being included on approved supplier lists.
If you have an interest in working in this area we could help you by mentoring you through the audit. We have a wealth of experience in successfully navigating the process with our clients and can help by advising what is required and producing the necessary management systems.
We can also assist with other Achilles accreditations, including UVDB and Building Confidence. Please call Susan on 01925 822161 (option 1) for further details.
