Regional SG4:15 Seminars Announced
16th December 2015
By now, you’re probably well aware that the NASC has launched the latest update to their flagship fall protection guidance document, SG4. The latest revision, now known as ‘SG4:15 – Preventing Falls in Scaffolding Operations’ was launched at a packed AGM on Friday 27 November 2016.
The NASC are keen to promote SG4:15 as a fine-tuning exercise, rather than reinvention of the wheel and consequently, it concentrates on developing the principles of fall prevention for Scaffolders and the most notable changes include advice on:
- Chimney scaffolds
- Bridging with beams
- Floor height lifts
- Cantilever scaffolds
- New PFPE (Personal Fall Protection Equipment)
- Loading bay gate installation
In light of this, we’re delighted to announce a series of regional seminars, at which Simian’s Managing Director and Technical Author of SG4:15, Simon Hughes, will present on the key changes and new additions to the document and will host an open Q&A session on the practical application of the new recommendations. Based on our experience of similar previous events, the seminars are sure to be hugely popular and you are advised to book early to secure your place.
