Our Weston training centre is open for business

We are very pleased to announce that our Weston training centre is now open for business, and has successfully delivered its first CISRS Part One Scaffolding training course.
We began working on our new branch in Weston-Super-Mare last year, partnering with Weston College to open the state-of-the-art facility at the College’s South West Campus.
We welcomed trainees to the new centre on 7th May for the 10-day course, covering a variety of areas both theorical and practical, which has ultimately provided the budding scaffolders with the knowledge and expertise start the next phase of their scaffolding journey.
The opening of this new facility has been a significant step for Simian to be able to provide accredited scaffolding training across a larger geographical area – particularly in the south west, which has long been on the SIMIAN radar.
Speaking after the completion of the first course, SIMIAN’s Lead Instructor at the Weston Centre, Adie Holmes, said:
“It’s a huge relief to finally get our first course here done and dusted, but it’s also a massive honour for me to be involved. As a native Bristolian, it’s fantastic on a personal level for me to be involved in a project that will bring so much benefit to the south west. The area has been crying out for additional CISRS training delivery and I am thrilled to be playing my part in giving the area what it needs.
We have a further CISRS accreditation visit planned shortly and successful completion of that will see considerable expansion of our training portfolio at Weston”
