NASC Releases TG20:13 eGuide Videos

As most in the industry will now be aware, TG20:13 is now available for purchase from the NASC and scaffold contractors are free to use the package to meet many of the day-to-day design requirements they encounter.
To support the release and promote understanding of the new package, the NASC have enlisted the support of Simian’s Managing Director, Simon Hughes. Simon, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH) and long-standing member of the NASC’s Health & Safety Committee, believes that the videos will supplement the TG20:13 package and provide guidance on what is widely considered to be one of the biggest developments the scaffold industry has seen in a generation.
Speaking before delivering a presentation to industry stakeholders at the NASC’s first regional seminar in London on Tuesday (25 February 2014), Simon said,
“The TG20:13 package is a massive step forward for the industry as a whole and it significantly increases the number and type of scaffolds that are considered in-scope and therefore do not necessarily require bespoke design. Simian is delighted to be involved with this development and to contribute to an initiative that will undoubtedly prove to be very popular with all of those involved in scaffold specification and delivery. The eGuide is a very innovative and intelligent piece of software that combines user friendliness, simplicity and ease of use and enables the ‘design’ of many scaffolds that required design under the requirements of TG20:08.”
The three videos posted on the NASC’s You Tube Channel provide advice on TG20:13 use with the eGuide, without the eGuide and a demonstration on the use of the eGuide.
