Multiple Award Nominations for SIMIAN Learners!

This year has seen many successes for the SIMIAN team and its learners in our centres throughout the UK. And what a way to end an amazing year as we celebrate a number of SIMIAN learners being nominated for a variety of industry awards!

London Borough of Waltham Forest – Celebration of Achievement Evening

In late November, John Lockley, our LASC Curriculum Area Manager, attended Waltham Forest Borough Council’s celebration of their achievements in regeneration, planning & delivery, employment skills, ESOL / conversation clubs and partnerships with local employers and businesses.

Of course, our London Academy of Sustainable Construction (LASC) works closely with Waltham Forest council, and therefore we were very proud to have nominated our scaffolding apprentice, Nemiah form Globe Scaffolding (Cambridge) Ltd, for an award for his scaffolding apprenticeship programme during this prestigious event. This was made all the more celebratory when Nemiah won the award.

LASC was the recipient of its own award for our partnership with the Borough, our support of its initiatives and the local residents!

Multicultural apprenticeship awards

Not only was Nemiah nominated at the Celebration of Achievement Evening but he was also a finalist at the Multicultural Apprentice Awards for the Construction Services category. And he wasn’t the only SIMIAN apprentice to be nominated, Tristan from Silverstar Scaffolding was also nominated for this amazing accolade!

Trenai from Lyndon SGB, carrying out a scaffolding apprenticeship with SIMIAN, received a nomination for NASC Apprentice of the Year 🥳

Roofing apprentice success

In our latest cohort of roofing apprentices, the first three trainees to carry out their end point assessments all passed with distinction!
