Meet LASC’s Newest Apprentice Abu
5th August 2021
Our LASC centre welcomed a new team member in June, as Abu Shohid, who is completing his Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship joined us.
Abu becomes the fourth member of our LASC admin team, working alongside Andrea Mercer, Anushia Jabeen and Fatima Sanusi. Together they will ensure that training courses run smoothly and efficiently from start to finish, prepare course paperwork, and organise certificates and relevant card applications at course conclusion.
Since starting his apprenticeship, Abu has turned his hand to all responsibilities within the department, quickly becoming an integral part of the team.
Andrea Mercer, Admin Team Leader at LASC has said:
“We are very happy to have our newest member of the team, he is a wonderful asset and happy to learn and assist with all the duties within the department.”
Attending the centre’s official launch at the end of July, Abu said of his new role and his time at LASC so far:
“Since starting my apprenticeship, I have been learning all aspects of day to day running of the college. This has involved learning about all training courses we offer here at LASC; from our pre-employment programmes to the career pathway of a scaffolder or roofer, and ultimately ensuring that I support the admin team. My goal within this apprenticeship is to gain as much knowledge and experience to boost my ability to further my career with Simian.”
On behalf of the entire SIMIAN team, we would like to give a warm welcome to Abu and wish him all the best with his apprenticeship.
