Health & Safety Signs
30th June 2015
Did you know that the health and safety signs you see around construction sites and in the workplace generally are bound by law?!
The Health & Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 specify that safety signs and signals are required where, despite putting in place all other relevant measures, a significant risk to the health and safety of employees and others remains.
The signs used must meet certain requirements – hence the uniformity and, for example, green signs for safe refuges, blue signs meaning mandatory and yellow/black signs indicating a hazardous situation.
