The emergency services were called to a construction site in North Somerset in early March, following an incident that saw a construction worker fall through scaffolding.

Ambulances and fire engines attended the scene where they helped the worker reach safety. No serious injuries were reported at the time of the incident.

Whilst not stated within initial reports, we would expect there to an investigation underway by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to determine the cause of the incident.

Falls from height remain one of the leading causes of injuries within the construction sector. Despite the fact that figures in this area have reduced drastically in recent decades, the number of incidents we see on a yearly basis remains far too high.
