Covid-19 update: Simian’s training centres

20th March 2020

Throughout recent weeks, SIMIAN has adopted Government advice as policy. Recent developments and advice received through AELP from the Government’s Department for Education clarified on 19th March that “centres which are visited by people for training”, should be closed to learners. As a consequence of this, we regret to advise the closure of our training centres with effect from 4pm on Friday 20th March, until further notice. This applies to our centres at Warrington, Weston-Super-Mare, Waltham Forest, Carshalton, Letchworth, Dudley and Anglesey.

We are currently exploring innovative methods for supporting learners in terms of remote and online learning and assessment. Further details on this will be made available in due course.

Delegates and organisations who have made bookings that fall in the period of closure will be contacted to make alternative arrangements. However, we ask for patience during this period as we work through contacting a very large customer base.

Due to the social distancing measures we have imposed on staff, we will have limited call handling capacity and therefore, those wishing to contact us directly should do so via the following email addresses:

Training enquiries – bookings@simian-risk.com

Apprenticeship enquiries – apprenticeships@simian-risk.com

Finance enquiries – accounts@simian-risk.com

General enquiries (including consultancy) – hello@simian-risk.com

We will continue to support the Government’s initiative to keep the construction industry productive and as such, our consultancy services, including scaffold inspection and health and safety support will continue for as long as this is permitted and we can keep our team safe.

We will aim to be operational and delivering training again at the very earliest opportunity
