Christmas fundraising at Simian Risk

At Simian, we recently chose a company charity to support. Little Hearts Matter is the charity we selected and we hope to raise significant funds to help this charity continue with the amazing work that they do.

We know just how important their work is because one of the team at our headquarters in Warrington has had personal experience of being supported by them. Annaleis works in our accounts department and her son Ellis was born with a heart condition. Little Hearts Matter has been there to support Annaleis and her family on their journey and she knows she will be calling on their support again next year when her son is due to have another operation. The operation will be the third time he has had open heart surgery. Ellis is pictured wearing his Jigzy T-shirt, who is the Mascot for the Little Hearts Matter youth members.

This year the charity is asking members and their friends and families to come up with ideas to help raise money for them during the Christmas period and are asking for donations via a just giving page. We’ve already organised some fundraising activities and this Christmas, a number of staff at Simian have decided to donate to the charity instead of sending Christmas cards. We will be looking for more opportunities to raise money in 2018, from simple things like donating instead of sending cards to organised fundraising events and activities that everyone can get involved in.
