Waltham Forest resident, Ryan, is nearing ever closer to successfully completing his Roofing Waterproof Membrane Installer apprenticeship.

With Ryan expected to carry out his End Point Assessment (EPA) later this month, his skill set, knowledge, and confidence in this field has increased massively since starting his course.

Prior to starting his journey in the roofing industry, Ryan was taking part in a plumbing course before moving over to roofing to work alongside his Dad. Having shown enthusiasm for the field, Ryan’s boss put him forward for his roofing apprenticeship with SIMIAN at our London Academy of Sustainable Construction (LASC).

Through his apprenticeship so far, Ryan has learnt a great deal, covering the theory and practical aspects of the job, improving his communication skills, becoming more motivated and building confidence in areas he had previously found challenging, such as felt roofing.

Speaking of his apprenticeship journey so far Ryan has said:

“I have learnt a lot from my theory and practical sessions during my course. Overall, I am now able to work quicker and more efficiently, and I look forward to being able to carry out roofing projects on my own when qualified.”

On behalf of the entire SIMIAN team, we wish Ryan good luck in completing his End-Point-Assessment.
