Learning New Skills Later in Life with a SIMIAN Apprenticeship

At the age of 40, Andre decided it was time for a change. After years of experience as a plasterer, he wanted to broaden his skillset and pursue something new. His choice? Becoming a waterproof membrane installer apprentice with J Randall Roofing Contractors and SIMIAN.

With a keen desire to learn and build a new career, Andre embarked on his apprenticeship journey and has not looked back. Since joining the Waterproof Membrane Installer apprenticeship program, Andre has progressed significantly. He has now gained the confidence and skills to felt on his own at work—something he never thought possible when he first started. The hands-on experience and expert guidance have allowed him to grow in ways he hadn’t anticipated.
