At SIMIAN, we’re always proud to support individuals who are taking positive steps to grow within the scaffolding industry. One of our current delegates, Bhim Prasad Rai, is a fantastic example of someone doing just that on his Part 1 Course.
Bhim is currently completing his Part 1 Tube and Fitting Course at our Weston-super-Mare training centre. Originally born in Nepal, Bhim now works for Bylor at the Hinkley Point C site – one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects.
While his current role is as a site labourer, Bhim has his sights firmly set on the future. He joined the course to begin developing his scaffolding skills, with the aim of progressing his career within the industry.
“The training has significantly enhanced my knowledge and understanding of the trade. I would recommend it to others. It has also boosted my confidence when approaching tasks and improved my ability to work effectively as part of a team.”
Throughout the course, Bhim has embraced the opportunity to learn and grow, and feels his biggest takeaway so far is “I got a better understanding of scaffolding techniques.”
He’s already seeing how that knowledge will make him more efficient on site, especially when it comes to applying safe, structured procedures taught during the course. That’s exactly the kind of outcome we strive for at SIMIAN, giving delegates the practical skills and confidence they need to succeed in real-world settings.
Bhim genuinely enjoys the work, he thrives on the physical demands of scaffolding and values how the trade keeps him fit, strong, and mentally focused. His attitude and enthusiasm are exactly what the industry needs more of and we’re thrilled to play a small part in his journey.
As Bhim continues his training and looks to build a long-term career in scaffolding, we’ll be following his progress. Stories like his are a great reminder of the impact quality training can have, not just on skills, but on confidence, wellbeing, and future opportunity.
Whether you’re new to the trade or ready to take the next step, our expert training team is here to help. Find out more about our Tube & Fitting courses here or call 0345 6022 418.
